Thanksgiving is next week and I hope you get to spend time with those you love and those who love you. I hope you get to share in your blessings no matter how big or small.
I’m excited to report we have seen a large number of users posting their classified ads through the website and many more are creating accounts. We are excited to see the interest and positive feedback.
This Friday we plan to launch some big changes for both our readers and for our display ad customers.
Classified Temporary Design
We are manually converting the existing Treasure Hunt each week in to a more readable format for our users. This will not be the final design for next year but I think this will dramatically improve the online experience, especially for our mobile users. Check back on Friday to see these new changes.
Display Ads
We love our small business partners who have used the Treasure Hunt for years. We are excited to start opening up a limited number of advertising slots for some early adopters.
This will help us get valuable feedback and work out bugs before fully launching in January.
This will be launching on Friday so keep an eye out for the design updates.
Ad Design Instructions
If you want to get an early start on preparing to advertise in the online version see the checklist below.
- Do you have a logo?
- Do you want this to link to a website?
- Do you have special colors you require?
- Do you have a phone number to call?
- What is your big headline? And Copy?
- If you don’t have this, maybe write down what you want your potential customers to know about you.
Ad sizes in this first version will be 300×300 @ 72dpi and 750 x 200 @ 72dpi.
If this is all new to you, don’t worry. We will also be offering design services if you need help creating your ad.
